Hi,
If you go about this correctly, you stand a reasonable chance of getting the debts wiped, but you seriously can't expect a creditor to write off that amount of debt just on your say so, without producing a shred of evidence, it's just not going to happen.
They will need to see a full medical report from your GP, plus evidence of your income/expenditure.
Only then will they be able to deal with your complaint, and assess your situation.
You have been doing yourself no favours by refusing to cooperate with them.
Give them the information they need to proceed with this, and you might just get somewhere, simply refusing will get you nowhere.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Halifax are trying to help you. Fill in the income and expenditure form and give them permission to contact your GP regards your health issues. Digging your heels in and refusing to do this will just make them think you're trying to pull a fast one and get the debt written off. Thats how it looks to anyone reading your posts.0

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I concur with what has already been said. Let the bank contact your G.P. so they know you have health issues. Perhaps bankruptcy is not a bad idea. You can start with a clean slate again and being rebuilding your credit again.0 -

I was in an IVA which failed as I couldn't keep up with the payments.
First 2 years I was paying £130 then they up it to £175 which I could not afford.
As my main source of income is £221 per fortnight esa, dla is disregarded for health care costs, they know there is little money.0
