When should I switch/Warm Home Discount

I'm on the Fixed Energy Online April 2016 with Npower for Dual Fuel. It ends at the end of next month, so I'm just wondering how close to then I should switch?

I phoned them and they say there's no cancellation fee so if I switch before the end of next month, I won't be fined or anything. If I switch to a new supplier, can I tell them when I want the supply to start?

Also, I would also be hoping to apply for a warm home discount. I know only certain suppliers are part of this scheme. Does anyone know more about it? Do you have to have been with your supplier for a certain amount of time etc?

no, just check your new supplier does the scheme. They have different conditions to meet, so read up on your new suppliers conditions.

No, a switch happens when it happens, can take a few weeks, or like my last 1, months!

Even if there were a fee for ending your contract early, they can't charge you once you have 49 days or less to run on your contact.

Once you've got the money you can switch. They can not take it back.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
