They're all that, no man would drive one except Stig and he couldn't even get it up a hill!

Haha! I'm a lady too and I don't need to go up many hills...

Buying an ex lease is no problem, but I would only buy one that was leased to a company and has had proper maintenance.

As personal leases are more common a lot of ex lease cars have been treated to minimal maintenance at the cheapest place possible.

They are all ex-lease cars from this company:

Sounds like they are company leases?

How about a 1.2 Dacia Sandero? £1000 more for a new car with a 3 year warranty.

I'm going to sound very shallow here... But anyway:

My current car I bought 8 years ago with plenty of miles on the clock, the last 3/4 years have been spent driving in a car that absolutely reeks as it has a water leak. However, due to paying for our wedding, honeymoon and buying our first house and then having to spend over £10k in unforeseen work on the house in the same 3/4 years, I have stuck with it and dealt with people wrinkling their nose at me when I get out of the car and paying for the little bits here and there that have been going due to its age. We're at the point now where my husband refuses to go anywhere in it cause of the smell

The speedo looks like it's on its way out, and the clutch is starting to feel pretty heavy. Heater only works on number 4. TBH I'm not expecting much (if anything) by way of part-exchange :embarasse:

So, now we are in a position to get me a better car, I want something that looks a bit nicer than the one you suggested, one I can really enjoy driving and not just having the luxury of not reeking of musty damp every time I sit in the bloomin thing :o

you do right to want a 500 they look cracking and drive alright
if used only locally buy a 1200 petrol buy it in a nice bright colour with a nice interior and when you come to sell it will always be wanted
most of these were are lease pcp call it what you want the main thing is condition as suggested, take your time and fully inspect the bodywork for no previous accident damages other than little repairs
just to worry you in my latest copy of a trade manual it suggests the steering downshafts may break so you have no steery steery

    That's really helpful, thanks!

It will mainly be used locally, we would use it on longer trips though aswell, the main reason we don't use mine now is the smell _pale_ I still won't be putting a ton of miles on it though.

The ex-lease one is blue so nice bright colour, check. Half leather interior, which is good. Also it had crossed my mind the resale value on one if I decide to sell it when we start a family in the next few years.

Fingers crossed I don't get a dud steering one!

    You are certainly no expert.

The Fiat 500 TwinAir has a petrol engine. And was one of the first small turbocharged engines, it might actually have been the first of these downsized engines. And was marketed in London as being Congestion Charge exempt, which it was a for a few years having emissions of under 100g/km

Can see why now it never made my list being a 3 door. When I was looking for a replacement it had to have certain specs and when I picked £0, £20 and £30 tax they turned out to be diesel, and the petrol versions based on age was out of my budget. So I assunmed being 2011 it was a diesel.

I have bought a couple of cars at auction that have come from Lex, but the last time was in early 2011.

Without full main dealer history and a complete maintenance printout I would buy something else.

You can afford to be picky with ex lease stuff as there is lots to chose from.

The TwinAir was never a diesel, that's the MultiJet.
