    Also take a look at the Revolut prepaid Mastercard and smartphone app, with which you could convert the banked euros to pounds even more cheaply, and perhaps more conveniently, than with TransferWise.

    The CA Britline account provides a euro debit card for a minimal fee, which would be the only cost when using it to load the Revolut EUR balance, which is then simply converted to GBP at the interbank rate within the app, then withdrawn to a GBP bank account or used with the Revolut card in any currency.

    By the way, I for one don't immediately suspect you of being a drug dealer just because you expect to receive cash euros.
