    Probably wise. So called 'smart meters' won't save you a brass farthing - all they do is enable you to see how much energy you are using.

    The real reason they are being foisted on the public is to fulfil the long term plan that when the energy system begins to buckle under the strain (which isn't very far away thanks to successive governments handing over energy policy to the hippies) someone in an office miles away will be able to make a decision to ration your supply.

    Anyone who thinks that is 'smart' isn't.
