Opening and switching current accounts query

Hi there,
I have been considering open a first direct account for a while now, specifically for the 6% regular saver. I currently am with Halifax and am happy with my current account there so do not want to switch at this point. However would it be worth my while opening another current account (say tsb) and then switching it to the first direct current account in order to get the bonus? Can anyone advise how long I would need to keep the tsb account open for before I can switch it? Maybe this is not a great idea but I'm relatively new to all this so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Open a TSB account, then a few days later switch, just make sure you meet all the first direct T&Cs0

If you want 6% Reg Saver, you may want TSB's Classic Plus account too that pays 5% on £2K.
Generally, nothing stops you from opening a second account with the same Halifax and then switching it.0 -
TSB accounts are generally considered 'keepers' because of the interest available. Opening another Halifax would definitely be the best option - Halifax are very quick too which helps.0
