Morning everyone,
Day off today so little lie-in then walked the girls, that's one of the things miss most with my early starts for work. Dry and reasonably dry today but wind still has a bit of a bite about it.
Need to change my spare bed today as have DSS staying over on Saturday night, they have a early start Sunday morning, going to football with their Dad. The bedding can go on the line to dry, smells so much nicer to dry outside rather than on the airers.
Have decided to start doing yoga again, riding Bill and walking the dogs keep me reasonably fit but could do with improving my core strength. Used to do yoga so have downloaded a free app for my iPad and will dig my old mat out of the understairs cupboard.
Hope the poorlies feel better soon and the dentist appointment sorts your tooth out JACKIE.
CANDLELIGHT, good to hear that your OH has decided to do something about his health, hugs to you x
Have a good day all and take care xx0 -
Thanks CANDELIGHT and GERS I feel I may need some support!! So any hints 'n tips would be welcome! Needless to say Mr TA won't be joining me on the diet!! I am still trying in vain to put the lbs back on him. He's at a standstill with the 8/9 lbs gain, despite eating so much better than he was last summer.
Thanks xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Morning (((((((((( hugs)))))))))) if you need one. I am still under the weather, runs appear to have dried up, now running a temperature and look like Marleys ghost!!! Have an appointment at the Drs this afternoon.
OH has been in the garden preparing the soil, planted some seeds which are now sitting on the sitting room window cill. I think it will be a few days before I get out to put the arch and greenhouse up, prune and plant the climbing roses and clematis.0 -

My planned trip to Arran went pear-shaped.
Got to the ferry port in plenty of time for the 11.15 sailing - saw a notice that said winter sailings are from another port, 11 miles back the way I came. Fine...drove to the other port, bookings only and only one sailing in each direction so I wouldn't get back today. Grrrrr - wouldn't have minded if I'd known. Just shows 'perfect planning prevents poor performance'. Summer sailings start next weekend. A lot of this area closes for winter, probably just as well given the weather we've had the last two.
Sun is pouring in. My new steam mop has arrived so I have no excuse to not clean the kitchen and bathroom floors properly anymore, though I think Judi's idleitis is very catching, even from afar.

Hi everyone,
Candlelight, if I ever think DH needs to go to the dr I get DD to ask him to go, he can't resist her at all!
TA, I've been pondering the diet as well, I've decided not to start until after Easter though. I will probably get the book next week.
I was winding DH up last night because he had received a parcel containing a new camera bag yesterday. I said that I had thought it was a birthday present for me (for tomorrow). He got very flustered and said that I had said I didn't want a present. I had said that, mainly to save money, it didn't then mean he could buy himself a present, he didn't even have the grace to wait until next week.
Hav a good day.0 -
well back from the dentist and as suspected I have an abscess under my crown. He gave me a prescription for antibiotics and I have to go back on the 31st March for some root canal work.
Age is making the gums shrink slightly so small bits of debris get between the gum and the crown no matter how careful you are cleaning (and I have always, if possible cleaned after meals)
Oh the joys of growing oldbut getting it fixed is better than having pain and ending up looking like a toothless old crone :0 can't do much about the face but I want to keep me gnashers
:):).
biting bitter wind blowing atm even though the sun is out.I am going to sit by the fire and knit, and watch some tv and maybe the back of my eyelids this afternoon Hopefully the capsules will help
Cheers chums

Hi everyone
Just popped in for a cuppa and sit down, am potting on seedlings in the greenhouse , whilst DH digs at the allotment, it's quite cosy in there.
Pasta with LO chicken and veggies for dinner, nice and easy.
Windy down here too and a bit nippy outside.
Take care allCarolbee0 -

Afternoon all,
Had a busy morning. Had arranged to take dad to Dobbies for breakfast but he said his back hurt so I just had coffee with him instead. I have to say that he seems to be getting worse at talking about himself all the time and telling me what happened in a tv programme I had told him I'd watched too. It isn't as though he has no visitors and doesn't go out. Maybe it's an age thing?
Dropped into Dobbies butcher to re stock the freezer and so we have sausages for tea tonight. I've just put a bread pudding in the oven too.
Still miserably chilly here - I wish the sun would appear....0
