Recommend me a capacitive stylus

I need to buy a stylus for my mum to try out, as she has trouble tapping in the right place on her phone.

Everything seems to be either £15 each for a top quality one, or £1.50 for ten that'll slice the screen open.

Can anyone suggest a decent one that's in the middle? Something that isn't cheap and nasty but not overpriced either?

Buy a 99p case off ebay and get a free stylus?

I have loads of the things they just end up in the draw, i dont think anyone in the family uses them?

Start an ebay search and put the minimum price at £3.50 and see what pops up? Put UK only to erase the Chinese sellers.

Although the £3.50 ones are probably the same as the 99p ones from China.

I know it all depends on what size is convenient but there are a lot of pens that now come with a stylus tip on the top, even the cheap disposable variety.

My girlfriend bought one and finds it really handy, especially in the winter when wearing gloves as it means she doesn't have to take them off.

Not all cheapo Chinese stuff is the spawn of satan. An awful lot of the branded stuff is the same thing in fancy packaging.

Maplin and very often guilty of selling 99p delivered from Hong Kong stuff in their stores for a fiver or more. I've seen those cheapo half moon bluetooth dongles in there for (iirc) £19.99

    Absolutely.

I've had a lot of cheap Chinese stuff and most of it has been brilliant. I bought some Li-oN batteries for my Canon 450D DSLR from China very cheaply, under £5 each, and they were, and several years later, still are fantastic. The Canon branded ones were an eye watering price in comparison.

They look identical in every way to the branded Canon one but without the badge.

Thank you everyone who posted about their personal experience.

Yes, I know some cheapo Chinese stuff is as good as the expensive stuff, I just need to know which! So it's the personal experience I was after.

I get most of mine via eBay so tend to read the feedback but the bottom line is that you can risk getting tat but so far I've only bought from people with good feedback and haven't been caught out.
