Complaint to Ombudsman re Vodafone

I have a complaint against Vodafone and at the beginning of the month asked for a deadlock letter, so I could complain to the Ombudsman.
I was told by an advisor that it would be sent to me within four-five working days. It was not. Instead, I received a text message telling me to ring them, as the company needed further information. The message just gives a generic number, no contact person or extension, so this means I could be speaking to any random person who knows nothing about my complaint. Why should I waste any more of my time contacting Vodafone or indeed my money ringing it?
I emailed the CEO and the customer relations team asking them to email me their request for information. Since then, I have had maybe three calls in the last few days from Vodafone. Each time I pick up, Vodafone hangs up. Again a waste of time and now verging on harassment.
Has anyone else had this problem with Vodafone please?
Thank you.

Can't help you with Vodafone but ombudsman services may use an excuse to reduce any comp awarded saying Vodafone wanted to sort the problem but you acted unreasonably and wouldn't phone them.
I'd probably open up a complaint with resolver.co.uk forcing Vodafone to communicate with you via email/online.0 -
That doesn't sound good does it, seems as if Ombudsman are on the side of Vodafone already.
They've got in touch now and wanted my address. Odd really, given they've had it all along, and I had emailed them two weeks ago when they first started texting me etc, I told them if they wanted my address it could be found on various letters dated xxxx.
I have received the deadlock letter now, but the lady who summarised the issue has got all the facts wrong.“It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living.”

If we have a vote on MSE today I’m sure 9 out of 10 people will say Vodafone is the worst phone company in UK.
Me and my family stay well away from them.

Really? Are they that bad?
I had issues with my mum's BT line not working, but when I complained someone took ownership of the issue.
Here it's a question of lets shove it to any bod in the Indian office and the next time you contact them, to a different bod.
Do they even have staff in the UK?
Having said that, the person who sent me the deadlock letter is UK based and has an English name.
Maybe it's not a question of where they are based, but whether Vodafone staff read English properly.“It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living.”
