Just had a quote from Everest today all windows and doors are quoted as triple glazed.
For 10 windows and 2 doors.
£14.947
For 5 windows and 1 door
£8.884
That is uPVC windows A++21 rated.
This quote is with the discounts added.
Got a local fitter coming out tomorrow for another quote. Are Everest as good as they say? And are they the most energy efficient company out there?

Cough !!! Sizes,openings required.
Get your local fitters quote and don't let him know he is up against Everest. He will add 50%.
Get a couple more quotes from local companies with good feedback.0 -
Everest are 3 times the price of local independents.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Not the best frames around . often the fitters are rushed into completion and poorly paid with little extra making good allowance . you can and will do better than this national company:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

Please, for goodness sake, don't use Everest! It's like buying a new boiler from British Gas... you get no added value but get charged at LEAST twice what you should. Literally. We got windows done by a good local company 3-4 years ago, cost was around £500 per window all in.0

Thank you for all the replies everyone. Like the idea but going to look around. Did wait in the other day for a local company and they did not turn up. So won't be using them...
Going to get some more qoutes over next few weeks.0 -
A polite letter to the owner of the company who didn't turn up may pay dividends.
If I was the owner I would kick a***.
If it was the owner who failed to turn up he shouldn't and won't be in business for long.
Bear in mind you are wanting to install in the busiest time of the year and prices will reflect this.0 -
Not planning to do it right now (looking at summer time) want to know prices so can see how many that I can install then. Also I will know how much to save up to get some more later on.0

Prices quoted now are likely to differ than when you actually install.
They will likely give you a quote valid for x nr of days.Should you want to extend this period you will get extras built into the quote.
To get the best bang for your £ get them done at the same time and haggle hard.
To get a budget for doors/windows go online to find supply only companies.(installers will be paying less) and build up an approx budget from there...did Everest give an installation period?
Add a contingency for disposal and mg.
At least this will give a target for your savings required. You just need to do your homework.0
