Sorry Guest - I'm not getting drawn into that debate. Recent threads on the topic of when a tenancy ends have become acrimonious, so ... I'm out!Hi G_M
question:
Your contract may have a clause saying the LL can arange viewings, usually in the last month/two of the tenancy, but
a) as no S21, you're not in the last month/two, and
b) they still have o be reasonable (ie not unannounced, not too frequent etc)
As a s.21 doesn't end a tenancy, then that period cannot be 'the last two months', unless I'm missing something?
The tenancy continues until bailiffs arrive, which could in itself be a month or more waiting
I don't really see that it affects/matters to the OP.
* In most cases the sensible solution is mutual cooperation between tenant and LL such that LL can advertise/view the property during the last few weeks and tenant can continue to live without undue interference ( the tea & cake approach).
* where friendly mutual respect does not work (as seems to be indicated here), change the locks. If LL chooses to go to court to enforce a clause like that, (which I've never heard of happening), let the courts rule.....0 -

I doubt the "working DSS". DSS was dissolved in 2001. There are however about 1 million working tenants getting some or all HB paid.
Otherwise yes, tell agent to F O.
Honestly they still call it that in my local estate agents, even on rightmove they say that...0 -

Thanks everyone, I'm trying to be amicable, but the estate agents are just taking the !!!!.. They are so rude. At least I know where i stand... thanks again0

It would have been to your advantage if the LL had not protected the deposit, as he would have to return it to you before being able to issue the S21. At least they seem to understand the law even if they have appointed a load of rude people as EAs.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Just want to say I think the LL behaviour is appalling, and also that of the EA as well. Completely uncalled for. I can't help, but you certainly have my sympathies and I hope you can find something. You have a little time as the S21 hasn't come yet so good luck. And yes for the moment tell the EA to FO. (You didn't even know they'd got the right address at the start, I wouldn't have let them in!)0

As the estate agents are being so rude, then I would not be very cooperative.
1. Change the barrell in the lock. You can change it back when leaving.
2. Write to the estate agent, sending a copy to the landlord, letting them know that you did not appreciate their rudeness when informing you the property was being sold, and when they apologise, you will allow viewings at 10am on Saturday mornings, and 7pm on Wednesday evenings.
If no S21 has been issues, then you have at least 2 months to find something else.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
