Oven fire

Hi all , I bought built in oven hob 18 months ago , it went on fire yesterday , the flames were coming from within oven were motor and electrics are ,not we're u
You put food etc, I had to unscrew oven and pull it out to put the fire out and hop is torched from flames , were do I stand on getting company to pay for this thanks

    well you first need to inform the company what happened, when I say company I refer to the manufacturer, you could try the retailer but as its over a year old you might have a better chance with the manufacturer.

    The retailer/manufacturer will require you to obtain an independent report from a professional to determine whether this is an inherent fault or user error before anything else is done.

    May require an independent report.

    Talk to them first and see what they say.
  • It was installed by kitchen company nufront in Liverpool ,it was all done above board
  • Candy are sending out engineer on Thursday , you read about theses incidents , but you don't think it could happen to you , smoke alarms
