Thank you Joey, a very kind offer.
As I stands, I'm not entirely sure when I'll be down next. I never do to be fair, the meetings seem to crop up on a 'as and when' basis.
My parents have very kindly decided to take me on their long weekend away, in a couple of weeks, to south Spain. My goodness it's needed. I'm not one to complain of the stress of life, in particular work, but I just feel jaded. Like an untidy desk that I just can get sorted. It's just slightly off-kilter.
I'll get there.0 -
Tonight is date night with my gran. As always, I cannot wait. Guaranteed the table will be set and she'll have a 3 course meal lined up. We'll sit and natter away for a few hours afterwards too.
I've no plans on Friday evening, I'll look to fill that void with perhaps seeing my friends. That being said I'm busy on Saturday and Sunday night, so I may take that night to myself.
Still feel like I'm getting my ducks in a row for some reason. I'll make a list, that always helps, and fire through it when I can. God I love lists.0 -
Morning all,
Work is really bugging me out, but it's nothing I can't get through. I've a weekend break away coming up with my parents (which they kindly paid for) so I'm really looking forward to that.
I've been keeping myself busy in my personal life too. Making overdue doctors appointments, deep cleaning, organising paperwork etc. Tonight will be much the same I recon.
I go on holiday with the boys in 8 weeks to Ibiza. I've been saving up for over a for my spending money, putting away a little at a time. To go hand-in-hand with my gym, I've bought meal replacement powder which should do 2 things; get me fitter and save me money. I'll use it to replace my dinner and my lunches will become a larger meal. That's the plan.
Speaking of work, I've now started actively looking elsewhere. If for no other reason that let me benchmark where I should be at with my current employers. If a job offer is on the table, it'll also give me some leverage to ask for a better package here. Easier said than done, I know.
Anyway, got to get on with things. Have a good day all0 -
I'm getting my final ducks in a row before my weekend away. Flight leaves at 5pm tomorrow and I've a lot to squeeze in, I'm sure I'll manage it.
Last night was my first night having a shake for dinner and it was surprisingly fine. Very filling, so didn't have any cravings later. We'll see how long that lasts.
Right so, speaking of lots of things to do, I've a long list in work too. Moustache.0 -

Good morning all,
I've returned from a lovely trip away. It was great to re-charge the batteries, enjoy some good company, fine wine and excellent food. My parents were very kind and covered most of the costs, despite my protests.
Back to the grind now.
Anddd...for the first time in over 2 years, I've got a date lined up this weekend! A girl I was only introduced to a few weeks ago and we've texting back and forth. We'll see how it goes.0 -
Ooo keep us posted on the date!0

Well the excitement, for now, was premature. She grew up about 100 miles from me and her family are coming to visit this weekend, along with her brother in the RAF - I suppose I'll let her away with it.
We'll reschedule.
Anyhoo. The weather has been improving in Glasgow and just beginning to look like summer. And with that comes a renewed determination for healthy eating/working out etc.
My passport needs renewed.....£75!!! My god.0 -
Good morning everyone and happy Monday!!
My weekend was a fairly low spend one which was consumed by friends, family and work - not really much 'me' time but I wasn't in desperate need of it.
My week ahead isn't particularly exciting, my only plans are on Thursday (date night with my gran) and Saturday (work, then a few drinks after).
Few bits on my to-do list this week which I'll power through and aim to be productive - including appearing here more often!0 -
I've applied for a couple of jobs; 1 in London and 1 in Southampton. Yesterday evening I told my boss that I put him down as a reference and he promised he'd say good things but that he didn't want me to leave and so will speak to his boss about organising a pay increase.
My work are notorious for taking ages, with everything, so I won't get too excited.
Yesterday I went to the gym in the morning and then played 2 games of football so, needless to say, I slept like a baby. Up and at em today again. Not sure what to get up to tonight.0
