Don't forget the magic weeks at the end of year 11! Official 'leaving' date next year is 30th June (it's always the last Friday in June), so we have a good 3 weeks to get a holiday in before the school holidays really kick in!

Our local school always has their Prom on the evening of the last Friday in June
Some kids aren't bothered but I would have had a very upset daughter if she'd missed her Prom
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

Next to our morgtgage our highest spend is on holidays.:D We only have one car, and no expensive sky packages or the like. DH does all the DIY, and we always look for best deals on everything we buy.

DD is in year 10 so we have a few years before we can go away out of school holidays.
Like you, I always have a couple of trips planned or semi planned as well. Keeps me going.
Where are you off to next? I'm going to Copenhagen with friends in May.

Sadly, I have nothing booked at the moment :(
Due to various 'family' things that are going on I'm not in a position to commit to anything just at the moment, although these will hopefully be resolved in the next 8-10 weeks.
I'm hoping to go back to Washington (DC) in October, or possibly Boston, but only if I can get a good price on flights which is doubtful at such (relatively, for me) short notice.
Medium term, I’m hoping to visit Montana/Wyoming/Yellowstone, Oregon/Idaho, Colorado and Utah and eventually all of the other states I haven’t been to yet J
(Hawaii and Alaska are on the ‘long term’ list)

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

Same here. Will have to wait till prom is over as my Daughter wants to go. It's the end if June though, so means we can start our hols beginning of July.

We save all of our pound coins up in a jar. Our family and friends find our 'piggy bank' either hilarious or adorable, but the jokes on them because we empty it out once or twice a year and have enough for flights and hotel for a weekend break.
For longer holidays, we put about £100ish a month in to a savings account and if we have any money left over at the end of the month stick some cash in an envelope to save up as 'spending money'.
Holidays and trips away are a priority for me and my partner, we don't drink much or go on lots of nights out, and don't spend money on all the latest technology.
We've recently bough our first house so holidays might have to start taking a backseat while we do work on it, but we'll still be able to afford the occasional city break thanks to our trusty pound jar :D

We save £600 a month for Holidays year round giving us £7200 to play with but that included a lot of clothes shopping in USA each year.
Holidays are restricted by time off work so this year we have 2 weeks in Mexico in June, a week in Bridlington with Grandson (sons static caravan) in August and 2 weeks in Florida in September - that's it all holiday allowance gone
