Recommend me a comping laptop

Lenovo here - from John Lewis (who apparently are the people to buy from as their after-sales care/support are top class). I can see 'G50' on mine but not sure if that was the model number (think there's been an up grade or two since). Was around £300.
I use mine with a mouse which I much prefer.
No probs so far. Was a bit slow with RoboForm - plus I hadn't realised that was only available for a short while these days - so I deleted it and now use Dashlane which I'm very happy with. Runs fast I'd say. No waiting for pages to load. I also tend to open loads of tabs (it's how I comp best) and it copes with that. When they stop loading, I know I've got a bit too ambitious! It usually copes well though.

This is very very good for under £200 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331744001975
Also, I've bought loads of so called refurbished stuff from Argos and every time it's been mint and the only thing that makes it 'refurbished' is the box may have a tear in a corner and a bit of extra sellotape.UEFA: Corrupting Football Since 1954 #CTID0 -
How about a nice touchscreen laptop .... helps speeds up comping
Had mine 2 years now - it runs Windows 10 and is fast (20 seconds to boot up)... 500Gb HD / 4Gb Ram / 1.5 GHz

If you don't mind a used one - there is one here for £94.99

Chromebook, chromebook, chromebook! Cheap, easy to use, fast (doesn't slow down over time) and perfect for comping. It dispenses with the usual Microsoft gubbins that cause your computer to slow down and the main focus is the browser/google functions. Google give you free cloud storage too, to make up for what the chromebook lacks in physical storage.
I would never go back to a laptop now as I think a chromebook is ideal for my needs.0 -
I have Toshiba Satellite & it's sooo slow! I got it less than a year ago - sounds like others have lots of luck with theirs though, so maybe it's my broadband speed.0
