Another CCJ question!

Hi all,
I'm new to the site. Another thirtysomething trying to get her old debts in order! I have two CCJ's - one from a catalogue which I settled today (from 2013). The other is an old british gas account which defaulted in Oct 2010 so nearly 6 years. I've paid £1 pm ever since the default, and it has now been written off by BG amd sold to a nightmare of a company called Pastdue Credit. I have called 3 times today and waited on hold for almost two hours all together! So frustrating!! The advice I'd like is... Should I offer this comoany a settlement, or is this default going to disappear in October anyway? I'd be happy to pay them, however they're so difficult to deal with I'm running out of patience!!
Thank you in advance

The CCJ and any default will go this year no matter what you do, yes.
Since most CCJs are very hard to enfrce in any practical way aaginst consumers who have little income, they may be amenable to a settlement.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
