Just to let you know the appeal went to POPLA and was not contested by Britannia. Their reason was 'good will', however they also sent a letter recorded delivery saying the relevant car was now banned from parking on the relevant car park!!
    Oh well never mind!!
    Thanks for the assist

I am willing to bet that a banned car is not an "offence" on their signage. Also bet the retailers would not be happy either.
  • It's a car park attached to a small shopping centre, so not specifically one particular retailer and they would most likely say it's nothing to do with them.

What a bunch of jokers Britannia are, so you sell the car, does it mean the new owner is banned.

What a load of old rubbish these children spout

I'm not suggesting they'll be able to get you "unbanned" because the ban is essentially meaningless. But the shopping centre will be somewhat !!!!ed off it the parking company are essentially banning paying customers from visiting the centre because they disputed a parking invoice. It's a blatant abuse and another example of the parking company explicitly costing them money.

I'd also be taking it to the local press, again to highlight how badly everyone is getting shafted.

Banning the car is utter nonsense & merely demonstrates that PPCs are spiteful bullies. The car has done nothing wrong & in any case cannot enter into a contract. They could ban the registered keeper from using their car park but not others driving the RK's vehicle unless there was specific mention on the signs in the car park that the car was banned.
