Default reappearing?

Hi everyone,
I've got a default on my file from 2010, I've kind of been waiting for the 6 years to roll around so it wasn't checked anymore but on looking at my credit file, it keeps appearing every month. So now on my file, the latest default is January 2016 when actually the default happened in July 2010! It looks to me as if I'm defaulting every month!
I can't afford to clear it in one go so I had been hoping it would drop off the end since it is so old. Why isn't this happening?

It'll be correctly recorded as a default each month until the six years, at which point it drops off entirely.0

A D or 8 every month is not an actual new default. It is just a monthly status update, and that is how a defaulted account is supposed to show.
The whole account, default, history etc will still drop off in July 2016, leaving quite literally no trace that the default or account ever existed.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
