Halifax Counter Withdrawal - are Chip and Pin Okay?

Hello All,
Sorry to ask such an anonying question. Can I ask, if anyone banks with Halifax and if they have made withdrwal on the counter for £1000 in a branch in London? I have my card and I know my PIN but I wonder if this is enough to verify me as I don’t have a passpassport (currently being renewed). If not, I will look for other ID, I just wondered if they verified this sort of transactions using chip & pin?
Looking forward to your replies

In theory yes but they may ask for further identification.
Why not get maximum from an ATM (£500?) and £500 from the counter - chip and pin should be ok for that amount.0 -
The Halifax website (11 Cash withdrawal limits) suggests that any amount up to £2500 can be withdrawn over the counter without issue.

Over the counter limits with CNP is £2500, anything more need ordering, so you should be fine with a valid card and pin number.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards.
