Hi, as part of a hen weekend we are having a bag decorating activity. It's a flat fabric shopper. I want to create a dogs face but have no idea where to start. Can anyone help?

You could do a dogs face with fabric paints or by layering up other fabric (might be nice with different textures).
Is the organiser not supplying the decorating materials or are you thinking of having a template with you for your design so you have something to go on? I'd see if you can find an image or quilting template on Google that is along the lines of what you want first & then look at how to construct it- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted

Maybe use fabric scraps and buttons?
There are bound to be ideas on Pinterest. It'll be a nice way to loose several hours looking.

You need to find the outline you want to use first, and then print and trace it (using it like a stencil) with fabric pens. Maybe decorate with a mixture of sequins (and fabric glue) and fabric colour pens. Sounds like a great hen weekend activity!0

If you google 'easy dog's face applique' then loads of designs will come up which you could adapt. Many of them are based on really simple shapes.
I liked this one as you could sew/stick the face onto the bag and then just attach the base of the ears so they hang free. Felt would be the easiest as it doesn't fray.0 -
Fabric pens would be simple or applique would look really nice but would be more time consuming.0
