Hello, I have watched Martin Lewis on TV saying we should change Energy supplier to get the best deal, and I myself am desperate to do so as we have been with British Gas for 15 years in the same flat, but being all electric and on Economy 7 ( with electric storage heaters that heat up during the night and are totally useless, as they are hot in the morning and cold at night ) how on earth do I work out which is the best deal, the annual cost of electricity for the 2 bedroom flat I am in is about £1500, On the British Gas bill under Tariff Comparison Rate it says " Not Applicable " because The TCR cannot be calculated for Time of Use tariffs.
I would be grateful of any advice as to what I ought to do to get a better deal.

How many kWh per year day and night do you use ? Work out the percentage day/night and enter that on the comparison site. It is as simple as that. TCR is a bit of a red herring, cost per year is the only real comparison.0

Go to any comparison site, select E7 and enter annual day and night consumption. Its as easy as that!0

Turn down the output switch on your NSH's and they should release the stored heat more slowly, making it last longer into the evening.
Your day and night kWh usage is on your annual statement, and the only other info you need is your postcode.
Enter kWh data, not your annual/monthly spend. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Are you turning the output dial down each night before you go to bed?
They should last into the evening.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

The op might have the problem I had with nsh, the 2 I had in my lounge were too small for the room..but since my housing upgraded them with bigger dimplex nsh I'm lovely and warm night and day and they keep there heat as I never need to open the output. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
