I know what you mean, but Aldi's returns policy is so good that it's always worth giving their electricals a try. Lidl can be a nightmare, so I tend to stick with the groceries there.

I would be hesitant buying a cheap telly from anywhere though - I've always bought Panasonic or Sony, because I spend a fair amount of time watching it I think any little problem with the picture or sound would drive me insane!

Having said that, I am very interested in these 'Hannspree' panels (thanks Brad) - they seem to get very good reviews and the 32" can be got for less than the Tevion, with the 37" for just a little more - might treat myself!

Had the same problem with a Goodmans sometime back. Keep your eyes pealed here http://www.dtg.org.uk/retailer/download_schedule.pl or contact Tevion and ask the question...... When will the problem be rectified!

FYI: The Milton Keynes branch still had at least 4 of these by the tills earlier this week when I went shopping there.

Our tevion was complete rubbish. Repaired 3 times over the first couple of months and after a lot of fuss they did finally take it back and refund.

tevion 32in please stay away from this ive had 2 after a month on both the screen has gone blank but have sound when swiching from midia or scart to freeview so you turn of then on after 20 sec the screen goes of again and i have to unplug it for 20 mins i unplug evey thing from the back and it still do it this tv has a difrent sat box bluged in difrent scat lead so it is defenenly nothing to do with me it tock 2 weeks for them to change they gave me a new 1 after a month it has done the same again i have googled for tevion tv but it seems aldi sell these and i havent seen any difren modles to get upgrade so dont know whot to do i will phone them in morning the reason why i posted this is its happening just after 30 days built in freeview is ok and i like the tv i think the old one were out of sink i dont plan on sending a tv back every month for 3 years if i dint have to go throw all the sighing up to the furom i would op posted last time so thing how many other people this has happed to ad cant be bothed like me to post!!!!!!!!!!:mad:
