Best bank account for a lump sum but no more paying in?

I am in the process of refurbishing my house with an inheritance that is currently stored away in my Co-op savings account linked to my current account. It is a bit of a pain though as it is hard to keep an eye on spending and accessing the money is not instant.
I want to put a lump of say 15k into a current account and use that as my money to buy bits and pieces pay tradesmen and also keep an eye on the spending. I don't however want to transfer money in it will be a one way road out until it is spent (sadly). Which account would best suit that situation?

For simplicity you might open a couple of Tesco current accounts (£3000 in each @3%) and put £9000 in the Internet Saver (1.01%).
As you make payments from the current accounts to your builders etc, top up from the internet savers.0 -
Thanks. I will take a peak at what Tesco have to offer.0
