Should I replace my lost UKPC parking permits? (I own the flat and have been ticketed

I own my flat and our parking bays are ‘run’ by UKPC (LOL). I’ve had run-in’s with them before and thankfully to this forum, I managed to get rid of 4 x tickets that I was issued in my first month of owning the property. Several of my neighbours also have had tickets over the years and never paid them and ignored all correspondence.
The visitor and Permit passes they issue are not sticky, they’re flimsy pieces of laminated paper. And, two years down the line after moving in, my pass was accidentally thrown away when I was having the car cleaned the other day. An easy mistake as it looks like a piece of paper. The visitor pass I lost back in the summer as it flew out the window.
Last Sunday I was issued a ticket whilst in my own bay as I had no permit on display. Per the Newbie’s thread, I shall appeal this separately.
My question is this, should I spend the £10 with UKPC on ordering a new pass and a further £10 for a Visitor permit pass? It’s frustrating having to pay them money, but it will avoid future tickets. I don’t actually ‘own’ the parking space, I believe I rent it whilst I live in my flat, therefore it’s not my property. I suppose I just begrudge spending money with UKPC but thought it was worth asking advice first on the matter.
I’m currently showing off the yellow parking ticket as my ‘display’ on my windshield to avoid further tickets being issued this week and moving forward

Do you own the parking space?
What does it say on your deeds?0 -
I don't own the space, no. We're given it whilst we live in the flat. I do own the property though, but the space is rented I believe.
What does it say on your deeds/lease/rental agreement say about the parking space? This is the crucial bit so you need to find out the Ts and Cs of renting the parking space with regard to a permit. If there is no mention of a permit then you do not need to display one.
Who employs the parking scumpany? They should be made aware that UKPC have been caught doctoring time stamps on photo' "evidence" and were banned for a while from obtaining keeper details from the DVLA. They have been investigated on at least two other occasions for dodgy practices as well.
The parking space owner and whoever manages your parking space need to be made aware of these scams.
Parking companies are employed in a misguided attempt to curb non-authorised parking, but in reality they will target anyone they can to make money.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -

Thank you, the housing association is Genesis Housing Association. I'll check my deeds in the meantime. UKPC are scum.0 -
Let the HA know with whom they have climbed into bed. If they are a registered charity, copy in HM Charity Commissioners. This company acts in a most uncharitable way.

I would renew it. Be aware UKPC sometimes sue people who get multiple tickets.
In your appeal do not name the driver and use the template from the NEWBIES thread around day 26, online to UKPC as 'registered keeper' only.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon, was awaiting your thoughts. I'll do as you suggest. Appreciate the advice once again (you helped me back in 2014).0 -
I would renew it.
I certainly would not. They want £10 for not hassling you, blackmail. Genesis have now merged with TVCHA, who are a registered charity, I have been trying unsuccessfully to get UKPC thrown off one of TV's blocks in Reading, but cannot get any support from other residents, most of whom appear to be riff raff or on HB.
You pay for the upkeep of the common areas and car park in your service charges, these permits should be provided for no cost to residents. Furthermore, paying this charge indicates that you agree to the PPC's T&C, even when they conflict with your leasehold rights. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

Thank you for the feedback, I do indeed pay a service charge. If Genesis say that my service charge included upkeep of the parking area then I will refuse to pay the £10 for each permit.
I just don't want the hassle of getting a ticket each weekend in my own bay. Not that I'd ever pay UKPC a dime.0 -
That's why I said I would renew it, because before you know it you would have half a dozen PCNs or more and if you were away and could not appeal some, UKPC would swoop with a small claim for multi-tickets and bother you with the court process.
I hate suggesting people pay UKPC anything but it's easier to renew and make sure a piece of blutack or clip (or whatever) is used to hold the permit in place so it can't be 'dislodged' by a passing person...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
