Slow payment

in Credit cards
I paid my crier card in the early hours of Saturday morning as I woke up and couldn't sleep nothing to do with credit card worries, I paid Via online banking but it's been taken out my current account but nothing to show it's been paid on my credit card account, it went through as faster payment the bank is Halifax.
Would it be slow due to it being a weekend and would be paid by the Monday, it's not due till the 29th but given it's Easter weekend a couple weeks time it's better to pay it off early rather than risking interest fees

It won't probably show on Halifax internet banking until about Tuesday with Monday's date as the received date.0

If the OP is paying interest, he/she has saved money by paying now rather than leaving it to a DD.
Possibly. I read the OP as wanting to ensure that the payment arrived before the due date to avoid paying interest. Of course, a full payment DD will always avoid interest, which is what I was suggesting.0
