Working for a psychic line is a good way to pass the time, but it does not pay much and you only get paid if you are on the phone. You also have to make sure there are no distractions or noise about you when the phone rings, you cannot put the phone on answerphone, wash your hair or eat a meal in peace. And you could wait all day and get no calls at all.

How about getting some penfriends, you can get email penfriends, go to penfriend sites and sign up, does not cost anything with most of them, put in your age, hobbies, location and preferences, it is exciting to wait and see who you hear from. But beware of those who are in prison, asking for visas, money, so called business deals or young men pretending they are gong to fall madly inlove withyou.

Hi, I'm in the same position with CFS and Fibro (minus the kids n school runs). There are a few support groups on fb that are good for finding understanding ppl and information.

I wasn't suggesting starting on War and Peace - just something light like thrillers.

Sadly even this can be too much, I struggle to remember any plot between reading sessions.

I often do some very simple crochet, so nothing that requires a pattern. It allows me to feel somewhat productive and its easy to sit it down and pick up another time. Iplayer and radio 4 have been my saviours, I find radio easier than watching programmes atm.

Hope you find useful things soon :)

I have a friend who suffers with pretty much the same as you. She does online adult colouring, she makes quilts (they really can take forever!), paints cat ornaments into day of the dead/black & white skeletons (personal taste lol - you may prefer fluffy kittens in baskets ;)), sews and customises things...

Oh, and I love online jigsaws if the physical ones are proving hard.

Try to find something you're interested in and join a forum. Writing (UKAuthors is good)? Specific car types (I was on a smart car forum as I have one/love them)?

Good luck, hope you find something...

I guess that depends how willing to you are to rip off vulnerable members of the public.

I cut to part time and have the in between days as recovery days.

Most of those days I can't move from bed or chair. I've taken up knitting and listen to Spotify a lot, the radio function is really good and you can listen to almost anything.

Pal of mine is currently trying to get used to long term sick leave & is giving Duolingo & Memrise a beating but her foreign language skills are powering forward - something to give a go, as both are free?

Again, thanks for the fab ideas!

I do have a garden and plan on getting out there as much as I can, although I cannot do so when it is too hot. I had Vit D issues before so I know the importance of this.

GlasweJen - it's awful isn't it? I went down to 3 (non consecutive) days in September, but still found it too much. I wish it wasn't because I did like my job.

Thanks for the ideas about the language learning as well, that's great. And I didn't even know online jigsaws existed!!! You learn something new every day, it seems!
