I havea reguler monthly income into this account which is quite high for someone my age.

Also i have been refused a credit by the same bank i have held the account with as of my credit rating???

One more thing as well my account has been searched ROYAL & SUN ALLIANCE INSURANCE PLC umpteen as Unrecorded Enquiry, can anyone shed any light???

sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Thanks in advance

The sun insurance search, would that be because you have bought or tried to buy car/house/personal insurance?
The unrecorded enquiries may be the phone company checking your credit rating.
I would do a bit of reading up on credit ratings and your credit score written by Martin.Go via the links at the top of the page. This should help you understand what is going on and how it applies to your situation.
If you are saving some money and managing your account well over the next 6mths there shouldn't be a problem with you obtaining credit as long as your not asking for a large amount.

Are you registered on the Electoral Roll?

Your parents (or whoever you have been living with) should have entered your details on their annual Electoral Roll form for the last two years (as a 16 and 17 year old) and you will probably be added on 1st December this year.

Kids accounts aren't reported to the credit reference agencies, unless or until they are upgraded when you turn 18.

Allowance from parents, ad-hoc part-time work cash credits, or salary?

You haven't established a 'rating' with your bank yet. Time, and account conduct, will heal this.

As the previous poster said, you've probably been getting insurance quotes online? Because unrecorded enquiries are not seen by other lenders, ie your bank, these will not be affecting your credit rating.
