PPI Rejection and SAR request?

Hi Guys,
Have received a PPI rejection from MBNA.
The letter goes into great detail as to why they should not refund and at the end states that the request falls outside of the impacted time frames.
It states the only recourse is via the financial ombudsman.
I am considering an SAR is the link below still valid in wording and costing?

Why do you want to do a DSAR?
From what you are saying, they have rejected the complaint as being timebarred. This means they have not actually investigated whether your complaint is valid or not. They have just said it is too late for you to complain.
So, what will a DSAR achieve for you to attempt to overturn the timebar?
Do you believe the timebar to be wrong?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
If you are not happy with the bank's response, you can ask FOS to investigate.
However, if FOS agrees that the time limit has been correctly applied then it will not be able to consider your complaint.
If it thinks the time limit should not apply then it will look at it.0 -
A SAR request now is just a waste of £10. What do you hope to achieve?0
