Oh he will. It's not that he doesn't know how - he's a computer technician and webmaster - he just avoids "social media" like Facebook, forums, etc.
If he is working and therefore will need to do his degree Part Time then AFAIK he is only entitled to tuition fee loan which will go directly to university, no loan for living cost.
He will need to do the course full time in order to get tuition fee and maintenance loan0 -
