Shower Room Fitting Costs

I've had some quotes, and have chosen my independent fitter.
I'm in the process of choosing my shower room suite, and he has said that if I choose the most basic models they are cheaper to fit than the more expensive ones.
I'm surprised by this, and don't understand why. Generally I'm happy that his quote is competitive, but am intrigued by the idea that the cost of fitting a branded toilet, handbasin and shower is more expensive than an unbranded cheap one.
Does anyone know if this is true, and if so why?

It does depend on how much more expensive you go. Higher end stuff like Kallista, Kaldewei, Bette can be more complicated for those that aren't used to them.
A wall hung loo and associated frame are going to be more complicated than a close-couple system. Some items can take three or four fixes, not two - but we are talking higher end luxury, not the difference between cheap, unbranded and 'brand'.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
