Stopped breast feeding - more poos!!

Hi
Sorry about the explicit post.
We stopped breast feeding our 1 year old this week and since then she has had quite a bit of diarrhoea and poos 5-6 times a day. She has a bit more milk to substitute the lack of breast
She has had cows milk for 6 months and not had any problem so can't think of any thing related to cows milk. I was thinking she might be lactose intolerant but can't believe this is the issue. Don't think she is teething either
Any advice?

If she was lactose intolerant she would have had issues with breastmilk!! She would also be very very unwell!
It is more likely she just has loose stools!
There is a tummy bug doing the rounds resulting in a few days of a runny bum.. but she would again be unwell!
drop the cows milk back and add cheese or yoghurts or calcium rich foods to make up any shortfall.. It may simply be too much milk in general and not enough actual solid food!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
When I change what I eat my bowel habits change too but then settle down - hopefully hers will settle down very soon too.But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

When I stopped BF my little one at 9 months we had about 3 months of horrible nappies similar to what you describe. She had been having one formula feed a day since 6 months with no problems but as soon as she moved to more formula, it upset her stomach. As soon as she went on cows milk at 1 she was fine. Perhaps its just her tummy adjusting to something new? Good luck0
