Morning all,
awake at the crack of dawn again. Unfortunately its hubbys body clock waking him up and he cant wake up quietly.:(
Mom was no different last night. Eating nothing, drinking little. Saw the night staff who assured me that she is on no medication to make her sleepy. I'm happy with that. She was asleep for 99% of the time i was there though she did have little periods of wakefulness. She was aware that i was there but drifted back off to sleep. She has lost a significant amount of weight i am told (which doesnt surprise me as she's not eating). She is wearing the warm flannelette night dresses i bought her so i dont get to see much of her body though her face is painfully thin.
Back to today. Shopping today as we didnt go yesterday. I could do with looking for shoes for our holiday again and hubby wants to buy the dogs a coat for windy walks on the beach. We were going to go to the Harley Davidson showroom in Wolverhamton for a browse but i cant see that happening.
Food to be prepared and cooked for the men to take to work tomorrow and also a weeks worth of packed lunches to be prepared.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Usual Sunday fruit and croissant in bed, lazy start to the day.I used to have a problem with OH eating in bed, he said he wasn't used to it. He seems to have taken to it like a duck to water. He has just gone through to get washed and dressed.
OH spent a fair time in the garden yesterday, we moved and planted the apple tree that has been in a pot for over a year, I also pruned it. I bought a plastic greenhouse in the autumn sale, he wants me to put it up for him, might do that this morning. It's going at the top of the garden by the fence, it will get most of the sun there, but is sheltered a bit from the wind.
The small poly tunnel went over part of the veg patch to warm up the soil ready for planting. The sun was out earlier, but the mist has rolled in, hope it clears, could do with some sun.
Roast beef for supper, I bought a large joint from Sainsbugs, will cook it and we will have supper off it tonight, then I will slice and freeze what's left.0 -
Morning All
Sounds like you had a good time TA!
I was at a 50th birthday party last night - right across the road so no transport problems. I think I may have had more than 1 G&T, I'm feeling decidedly groggy this morning! Anyway, I've had lots of tea and coffee and my breakfast, I'm sure I'll be ok after a shower. DD came home to get a key and went back to the party, this was about 1.30am. I may not see her for some time!
Washing just finishing but don't think I'll risk putting it on the line today as I will be out later. DW emptied and ironing done (only a couple of bits).
Have a good Sunday everyone, enjoy the sunshine if you have it. Take care. XX0 -
Good morning all . Thanks Hester .
A warmish , bright day here but still low cloud . I overdid the gardening yesterday and was out there for about five hours . I have some huge terracotta pots full of john innes and herbs and stupidly either carried or dragged them to their spring location . Today I am fit for nowt ! Like many have said today I will be doing very little also .
Gers I love the sound of your planned trip . I spent a lot of time around Stirling and the west coast . I really want to visit Mallaig but unless an extra few days get added into the week it doesn't seem likely .
Will have poached eggs for lunch and the rest of yesterdays casserole later , I will sort some paperwork but will take it easy otherwise . Early appointment tomorrow so will watch Dr Thorne and head to bed .
Have a lovely day everyone . Just think a week today it will be the first day of spring - at last .

There but for fortune go you and I.0 -
Morning all,
Our usual lazy Sunday start coffee and Andrew Marr.
Towels out on the line, so lovely to hang washing out
Need to get some fuel for the car, apart from that it's an easy day.
Gammon, cauli cheese, roasties and Spring greens for dinner, the veal last night was delicious, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but being from a farming background, I like to see everything used, and it's local and humanely treated.
Dumpling and Judi - hugs for you xx
Take care all xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Morning all, a pretty, sunshiny day here and I have washing out - when do I not!
I went to bed early and got up a little before 5, heard the birds. Made a little knitted rhinoceros, as you do, read the Sunday Times, had a bath and am sitting on my bed, with my tablet. OH has brought me a cup of tea so I am spoilt.
I need to make sure that all my work clothes are ready and enough to pack for working away, check work email otherwise I shan't manage tomorrow then I have a chicken to cook for this evening. Oh and I need to clean the tiles in the bathroom they look a bit grubbalicious.
If time, I might go for a little walk, but I tend to run out of time.
Have a good day!I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Just waiting for DD and son-in-law to arrive back home from Norwich. Can't wait for them to get here as it seems ages since I saw DGS Ben.
The three younger lads were well behaved last night and we watched a film on netflix. Youngest boy Mikey has just tidied up and made the sitting room nice and spruce for his Mum getting in I have peeled the spuds and the washing is done and the kitchen tidy as well.
Tomorrow my friend June is coming down from Dartford for the day and we will be knitting and nattering as per usual
Judi <<hugs >> you are having a difficult time atm.
Ddumpling hope things perk up a bit for you today
Cheers everyone

Afternoon all.
Hugs Judi.
Sunny here today, I have 3 huge towels on the line. all the school uniform is washed, dry and ready for next week along with indoor and outdoor PE kits, deja vu here, I thought I'd finished with all this.
I've cut hubby's hair, coloured mine, bottomed out the living room swept/steamed the downstairs floors, vacuumed the upstairs floor, cooked roast lamb for dinner and prepped carrots, leeks & beetroot that hubby picked from the garden.
Now I'm going to sit with my feet up and work on my blanket some more.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0
