Costco Tyres

Hi I've been a trade member with Costco for a year and decided to get some tyres fitted there. Have been quoted £83 a tyre for Michelin. Would that price include the VAT too?

What did they say when they gave you the price?0

Price has always been vat inclusive whenever I've had a quote. Includes rotation, disposal and nitrogen inflation...
I only joined Costco for the tyres originally mostly because I trust their service but prices can be matched or lower at other places (if you are sure all extras included in quote)0 -
Are you a business or personal member? It would (AFAIK) be illegal for them to quote VAT-exclusive prices to consumers.0

You need to shop around.
As Costco prices can be cheap but sometimes they are undercut.
There is a special for tyres on at the moment but they are a shadow of their former selves, at the moment the offer is £25 voucher if you buy four tyres up to 16", £50 voucher up to 18" and £75 for 19" and above.
So not bad if you have 19" wheels but not brilliant for the more run of the mill stuff.0 -
The price quoted is fitted.
The offer mentioned above is for 4 tyres fitted also for two though the voucher is less. The offer is for Michelin tyres, they do sell other brands.
Here's the offer.
2 tyres
13-16" claim £10,
17-18" claim £20,
19" above claim £30.
4 tyres
13-16" claim £25,
17-18" claim £50,
19" above claim £75.0 -
Costco haven't been competitive for tyres for some years. Even the "specials" prices are not that special. Try a few of the following:
Mytyres
BlackCircle
Oponeo
Tyreleader
Tyre-shopper
TyresOnTheDrive

Am pretty certain the price was plus VAT when I bought a recent set from Costco of cross climate tyres. They general have a deal on - think mine were michelin and it worked out far cheaper than anywhere else - they quote the price available at Kwik fit etc on the wall of the fitting bay. Am really pleased with the service and price and would definitely use them again if that's any help0

Can you quote some figures to back up that statement?0
