Capital FM Nottingham car parking?

Hi all,
We have an event next weekend at the Capital FM Nottingham Arena and I am trying to find somewhere suitable to park.
I have looked at Stoney Street NCP, which is ideally placed as I cannot walk far without pain but - it is quoting me £18.00 non-member or £16.20 member to park there 8am-4pm! And I thought our local hospital car parking was a rip-off! However, I found something online that says 'People can now park at the Stoney Street NCP car park all day for £3.50, if they arrive before 9am, under a new "early bird" deal'. Does anyone know if this still applies?
If not, just how far away is Maid Marion Way car park? Will I be able to hobble to the Arena easily or is it a trek?
Many thanks

There's Fletcher Gate car park. I've just had a look and up to eight hours is £13.00 and up to 24 hours is £15. Have you looked at the Park and Ride? You could also park your car outside the city centre and get a taxi or a bus. There are special bus tickets called Eventrider which cost £2 for transport to and from an event (instead of an all day ticket which costs £3.50).0

Maid marian way is on the other side of town. Dont park there for the arena. It is a long walk.
The shopping center car parks are cheaper but still at least a 10minute walk away (broadmarsh and Victoria center)0 -
Use the new tram service from junction 25 or 26 of the M1,the parking is free and the tram stops approx 150 yards from the venue and I think the price for is £2.20 each return0

Hi Miley the early bird deal still applies it's clear on the website - before 9 am its £7 for all day.
"Our Early Bird price is available when you park between 06.00-09.00am and exit before 23.59 on the same day. For shorter stays between 06:00-09:00am our standard tariff is still available. Please press the assistance button at a pay station so we can adjust the cost of your stay.

Hope that helps!'Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about';):)0
