gas fire and flu liner installation- seems a lot of money?

hello we live in a 1905 house that is proving hard to get warm . We are thinking of installing a gas fire into a traditional fireplace and have had a quote for the work:

To supply and install 15 metres of 180mm double skin stainless steel flexible flue liner. This is of a Class One standard and is therefore suitable for use with either solid fuel or a decorative fuel effect gas fire. To supply and install stainless steel gather unit £ 1,500.00
To supply and install chimney cowl £ 80.00
To supply manual gas coal fire £ 400.00
To install gas fire to adjacent point £ 220.00

This all seems a lot of money and doesnt actually include getting the gas supply into that room....any and all advice welcome

I have met with a number of local companies about having a woodburner installed and our quotes range from £3,000 upwards so I think your quote is quite reasonable.
    House renovation savings £25,000/£25,000
    Emergency fund £1000
