That's what happens when you use the ones in jars.
I'll get me coat.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
A note to Martin: I understand that too much juiced/pureed beetroot in one hit tends to promote excessive bile flow which aids the digestion/micellisation of fat droplets - hence the nausea. In nutritional therapy we often use beetroot based supplements to help those who are increasing their fat intake, as it can also help avoid the nausea commonly associated with high-fat meals. Beetroot in a smoothie or vegetable juice is great - in small quantities only in my experience :-)0

Ditto that. It seems that the high oxalate-content in raw spinach and raw kale can actually reduce the absorption of the very micronutrients that you might otherwise benefit from in veg juices or smoothies. But I agree with the other, raw spinach does taste wonderful. I love it, but try not to eat it raw every day.0 -
My favourite's shredded wheat, weetabix, & banana, with milk of course. I tried dates but it made a lot of noise
You can put nuts in too, but I've not tried yet.

If you soak the dates in water for about an hour before you put them in they are soft enough to process.0 -
I have been thinking about getting a nutribullet for a while. Am I correct in thinking it is one of those appliances that you should buy the original as cheaper versions aren't nearly as good? does anyone use a cheaper version?
Also I am unsure of the taste of the finished smoothies, can you taste what you put in or does the juice you use as liquid mask the tastes?
DUKE - that mixture sounds nice, when you have blended it does it go smooth or do you still get bits of the cereals in it? I think my son would drink that but he wouldn't if it left bits behind.0 -
My nutri-ninja was less than £50 from Argos...
I find that I cannot usually taste the "veg" aspects of the smoothies, ie a bit of kale or spinach and carrots. The juice more or less masks the flavour though obviously it depends on your quantities!0
