Cheapest way to send money to Portugal

Hi,

I need to send some approx £700 to the EU to pay someone we trust for a holiday rental.

What is the best/ cheapest way of doing this please?

I've seen the Post Office's International Payments Account which says it is fee free just wondering if that's better than PayPal or anything else?

I have never heard of the PO account you mention, probably it features a terrible exchange rate. (I have only my phone so can't really check.)

If both you and the other party sign up for Revolut with their smartphone app you can transfer to them totally free of charge and at the interbank exchange rate.

If they require the funds sent to their bank account you can avoid all bank charges and bad exchange rates by using a service such as TransferWise, costing 0.5% for £ to €.
