Need some advice

Hi, just want a quick bit of advice on my credit card situation.

I currently have 2 (soon to be 3) credit cards and I want to close one of them, but the one I want to close is my longest line of credit.

I have a Natwest YourPoints card with a £1,500 limit which I don't use anymore at all, hence why I want to close it, but I have had it for 5 years.

Then I also have a Halifax Clarity with a £1,100 limit which I've had for about 6 months.

And I have just applied (and been accepted for) a TSB Platinum Purchase card with a projected £4,500 limit.

I also have a Halifax Clarity loan and an unblemished credit report.

I'm just a bit worried about closing the Natwest card, even though it is of no use to me whatsoever, due to reading not to close your longest line of credit, etc. I'm hoping to apply for mortgage within the next year or two so should I close the card or just leave it dormant? But then I'm worried about fraud as I never check my Natwest accounts.
