Currys won't give my money back

Hello...

I bought an electric hob and oven from Currys back in January.
There was a problem with the fittings and gas connections so I had to return it, and they did collected it back in January.

Since then I am chasing them for my refund.
I called them and they said they have processed it and should show up in my account within 5 working days, and that was back in January.

Nothing showed in my account and I called them like 5 times and every agent says they will process it and should show up within 5 working days. I even talked to a supervisor and they keep saying the same thing.

And now we are in March and my money has not been refunded.

What a person can do about this? In some countries you would call the police, but I don't think it is the case here in UK.

Can anyone advise me what to do in this situation?

    What was the purchase price?
How did you pay? Debit card? Credit card? Something else?

Did you buy in store or online/over the phone?

If in store I would return to the store for them to refund directly to my card instead of messing around with giving card details over the phone and waiting for it. I know it would still take a few days to clear but at least there would be a receipt showing a refund in process.

Bought online for around £300 and paid by debit card.

Then have a read of MSE's Chargeback article and speak to your card issuer about a chargeback.

Get moving - there is a time limit of 120 days. :D
