Currys won't give my money back

Hello...
I bought an electric hob and oven from Currys back in January.
There was a problem with the fittings and gas connections so I had to return it, and they did collected it back in January.
Since then I am chasing them for my refund.
I called them and they said they have processed it and should show up in my account within 5 working days, and that was back in January.
Nothing showed in my account and I called them like 5 times and every agent says they will process it and should show up within 5 working days. I even talked to a supervisor and they keep saying the same thing.
And now we are in March and my money has not been refunded.
What a person can do about this? In some countries you would call the police, but I don't think it is the case here in UK.
Can anyone advise me what to do in this situation?

How did you pay? Debit card? Credit card? Something else?0 -
Did you buy in store or online/over the phone?
If in store I would return to the store for them to refund directly to my card instead of messing around with giving card details over the phone and waiting for it. I know it would still take a few days to clear but at least there would be a receipt showing a refund in process.0 -
Bought online for around £300 and paid by debit card.
Then have a read of MSE's Chargeback article and speak to your card issuer about a chargeback.
Get moving - there is a time limit of 120 days.
