A month in the sun in January or February

Where would be the best place to escape the UK winter for a month in January or Februay?

I was thinking of Cyprus, Malta, Spain or Portugal - and not too expensive.

Your not guaranteed sun in any of these places in Jan/feb in fact in can get rather chilly.

    Where can you fly from?
    How many are going?
    Whats your budget?
What board basis would you like?

Oh - I thought you would get 17C or 18C during the day.

I would be by myself from anywhere in the UK.

Would want self -catering, and about £100 - £150 a week.

I have been to Cyprus and Malta in Feb and it can be very cold but then again you may get decentish weather but no guarantees at all.
One year in Malta in Feb it was really hot and we had shorts and t-shirts on for the whole holiday, the following year it was very cold and wet.I must admit i am one who loves Malta no matter what time of the year it is but then again im married to a Maltese man so have got used to it over the years.

    Santana Hotel 4 stars,Qawra
    Bed & Breakfast
    Total £318.05
www.travelrepublic.co.uk (using promo code,pm me for it if needed)

    Grand Total £371.25
Transfers still needed but will be about £15 each way by taxi.

    Or
    Topaz Hotel 4 stars,Bugibba
    Half Board
    Total £248.05
    Also with Travelrepublic using code

Grand Total with flights as above £301.25

It actually cheaper to go b&b or half board in Malta than to go into self catering apartments in the winter months.

Try taking a look at the Canary Islands, weather normaly quite good for the time of year you are thinking of going, only 4.5 hours {approx} from UK and plenty to do

    Just done a quick search.

Have found a few 1 bedroom appartments in Cyprus for £80 - £100 a week then, but cheapest so far in Malta is £150.

    Still looking.
