Crossrail 2

Firstly the link won't be complete until the mid 2030s at the earliest.
Secondly someone has to find the £32bn to pay for it - it's doesn't come cheap
And doesn't this report suggest the link to Wood Green and New Southgate be delayed to save money. The route to Tottenham and up to Stansted is the priority.
So the people of Wood Green may have rather a long wait - 20 years if ever to see Crossrail 2. If you are happy to wait that long fine - at least you will be able to use your freedom pass on the service as most of us will be retired by the time it's built. And the uplift in prices will fund your care home costs and more!
In my view you'd be mad not to immediately invest every penny you have in Wood Green. Surely you can see that the fact that the Wood Green branch (which may or may not actually connect to Wood Green) of a branch line which might or might not be built as a later afterthought of a main line which might be built at some point in the next 20 years is a no brainer. On this basis prices in wood green are definitely going to change as a specific result of the complete uncertainty in relation to Crossrail 2 by between 0% and 0.00000000000001%. Get in before it is too late.
On unrelated news there is a dog from Wood Green on the telly at he moment - that should increase prices by a similar amount.0 -

Me too. It would also put about £100k on my house, which I'm more ambivalent about. While it would mean extra money for us, I dislike the thought of younger members of my family being priced out. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Here in Bristol (10% HPI last year) we can only dream of Wood Green

Fabby doo! Well worth 30 billion quid! Maybe if they spent another 30 billion they could take another one minute thirty-seven seconds off it...:T Now that WOULD be worth it.....

When most people think of Wood Green they don't have dreams - more a nightmare.
As most of London demonstrates having high prices isn't quite the same as equating to somewhere that is nice to live. The best thing about many areas of London is the station - so you can escape to nicer areas!0 -

Once Crossrail 1 is up and running it is 22 mins to Farringdon from here then what 30? mins to LHR - do we need quicker than that?
Alternatively a commute I used to do to Canary Wharf that took 75 mins on a good day will be 22 + 8 minutes
I think....0 -

It's on the other line though. The one through Watford. So you'll have a city line directly into London from Luton/St Albans etc, then Crossrail via Farringdon; with the Watford/Tring line dropping down into Oxford Circus and then across to Heathrow (via Old Oak Common). So one line direct into the City and across, the other direct into the West End and across.
In other words, it's not just horizontal but vertical that the links will run, in that you wouldn't need to terminate at Euston, just as you no longer have to terminate at St P.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
