british gas collective supply change

i am a british gas customer so i was glad to see the collective traiff swop recently. i applied and was accepted but be careful..my smart meter is now not registering the correct usage. at least 50p a day but the app and web account details are right. british gas are saying because the tariff is a 3rd part arrangement the smart meter will not display correct values and these cannot be presently changed. i know this would happen if i swapped to say eon,npower etc

  • What you mean is that the in house display is nt displaying all the details of tariffs and prices correctly. The meter itself will be working correctly and sending the reads in ok. I ve dumped my IHD just like many others anyway and I m not concerned about seeing my daily/weekly consumption but I do like having the UKs cheapest electricity rate at 8p a kwh
