in Credit cards
I am consider getting one additional credit card due to not enough direct debit to play around the 5% interest loop hole.
Since it will not be my main card, I am considering Debenhams/ House of Fraser as i remember they occasionally have events to offer extra discount with store card.
I used to have House of Fraser credit many years ago, but I cancel it few years ago as I don't shop there a lot.
Since I tends to shop at Debenhams more, so I wonder if anyone could tell me how is Debenhams credit card event, as I never really pay attention to it when i was in store.
Or if you have both, which one you prefer?

why does it have to be a store card?
unless you spend weekly in them or you need that one off 20% on a big purchase, they're not worth it. although on first glance I'd plump at Fraser cos of the recognition across everything whereas debs only do beauty.0 -

Not only beauty.
You get 3 points per £1 spend at Debenhams and 1 point per £2 spent elsewhere.
These are converted into a rewards voucher to be spent in store) every three months and sent with your statement.
I am now using my Debenhams card more than my Tesco clubcard since Tesco reduced the clubcard points.
I have also had random £5 vouchers sent to me to spend in store.

I assume Debenhams do not have big event like HoF?
Then it will be HoF card for me then.
I am not going to use it as my major card. I have another card give me effectively 0.5% on supermarket voucher.0 -

I have the Debenhams Credit card, If you spend on beauty you get the points on the beauty card and on the credit card for the same spend. I have found I usually get sent extra discount codes/vouchers for most sale events (although these usually exclude Beauty). I currently have vouchers for £2 off £20, £3 off £30 etc valid for Wed-sun This week. Points come as vouchers to spend in Debenhams once a quarter. Plus you get a £5 voucher with your 1st statement for signing up.0

HoF invite card holder to "event". it could be extra 20% on everything on Thurs.
I used to have HoF card many years ago when I work in city center location. But I cancelled it few years ago when I worked somewhere else and had other cash back card.0 -
Just be careful that you don't fall into the trap of "I need to buy something on my store card every month, so that the direct debit goes out, or else I won't get my bank account reward".0

Why would I?
It is a credit card. £1.50 in Greggs will do the job.0
