Section 75 refund

I am looking for some help in relation to Section 75. I received an item which was faulty and attempted to return the item but the retailer failed to respond and I lodged a claim with my credit card company under Section 75.

I was successful and they refunded the amount of the order which I had placed with the company.

The company contacted me eventually and I returned the faulty item.

My credit card company not only refunded the cost of product which was faulty, they refunded me the other 2 items which I had ordered but did not require to return.

Is this correct?

Now the company themselves have contacted me advising me to return the other 2 products?

What should I do? :(

Sorry I can't answer your question, but please may I ask how you logged your section 75, as i am having the same problem and may need to raise on my AA credit card.

    Thank You

Either return the two items as requested or pay the company for them.

If it really was a s75 claim, not chargeback, then it's not that clear.

Under s75 the CC provider pays from its own pocket and may or may not do the chargeback. If it doesn't and you pay again, the company will get paid twice. You have to discuss this with the CC company before paying.

The CC will pay out under S75 for a valid claim but they will always take it back from the retailer if they have the funds or continue to accept CC's.

The company has been charged back and now they want the whole order returned.

OP the fault lies with you for claiming the whole amount back, you should have made it clear to what was faulty.

S75 claim can be for any amount, but chargeback can be for the total amount paid only. So, your post is a bit contradictory.
