Kind Regards,

Sounds like a lucky escape then :money:"We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0 -

It is normally OK to use the third party insurer's insurer to claim from when you are an innocent hit by one of their insured (though as already advised you do still need to inform your insurer about the incident, and the claim must still be disclosed to future insurers when getting quotes in future)
However it looks like the third party insurer is Admiral???
If so insist on using your own choice of repairer as they are known to get repair work done via Albany (do a search here and online for Albany reviews to see why!)
If they are happy to let you choose your own repairer there should be no problem in accepting their offer.0 -
To be fair, I've had a non-fault claim handled by Admiral and they were brilliant, I got an equivalent courtesy car and had mine repaired at the main dealer bodyshop of my choosing.0

The issue isn't when Admiral do the repairs but when they pass you on to Albany (see their feedback here and across the net to see why!)
Albany assistance used a crap aspproved repairer on my car. Someone pulled out from a parked position onto my path as I was triving along. Corner of bumper, front wing and bumper moulding was damaged.
The bumper moulding OEM costs £40-£50. Their shyster approved body repair shop decided to prime and paint the bumper moulding with a textured rubber paint!!! Looked OK on inspection but when I went to machine polish the car a week later the paint came off the moulding where they repaired it. I didn't tape the mouldings anywhere on the car, and the original moulding was perfectly resistant to the machine polisher and unaffected. But where they did their repair it came off.
The wing was replaced instead of repaired using dent repair and respray for some reason, the panel gap wasn't exactly symmetrical to the non-damaged wing and when I knocked on the wing it sounded more hollow and tinny than the non-damaged side which had a more robust thud sound.
In the end I was just glad to have my car back, it's now a bangeromics car so I'm not too fussed with minor astethic imperfections.
The bumper moulding would have been an issue for me but I was slwly changing all the mouldings from black rubber to colour coded so I just accepted it.0
