    Good morning everyone

It's a beautiful sunny morning here but a bit cold at the moment. hubby has just left with the dog for a walk and I am trying to get the house tidy because an old friend is coming to see me this afternoon.

We normally have a takeaway on the weekend but as we had one earlier in the week I am cooking....well I say cooking, I mean opening boxes and putting them in the oven :D. Hopefully the girls won't moan too much, Hubby, bless him, eats everything put in front of him and always says thank you too.

Well, I am going to plough on with the housework. The washing machine is beeping at me as I write.
Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

As promised, the sun has burnt off all the fog and is now shining, it feels lot milder today and almost a whiff of spring in the air, washing machine on with the bedding in, hopefully will dry on the line.
Little dog has a bit of yellowish discharge in her eye, it's clearing not bothering her at the moment but will watch carefully as spaniels can be prone to eye infections. Big dog fast asleep in patch of sun she has found in lounge.

Morning all, warming and brightening up down here now.

Just having a cuppa whilst my pudding for tonight is baking, raspberry and lime curd tarts, very tasty. Got some friends coming for dinner and a catch up, very informal.

So nice to get washing dried on line isn't it?

Seeds doing well in the greenhouse for the allotment,

    Have a good day everyone.

    Afternoon all,

back from visiting Mom. She slept through my visit but thats ok. She was in bed, warm and comfortable.

I saw the senior just as i left to ask how Mom has been and i was told she is sleeping the clock round. Drinks very little and isnt eating. I asked if she was on any medication that would make her so sleepy and was told no.

I said "She's always rallied round before but it doesnt look like she will this time".

"Nature is taking its course" was my reply. I dont think she could have put it any more honestly and sensitively if she had tried.

I sat on her bed for a couple of hours, did a bit of cleaning (though my heart wasnt in it) and a bit of tidying before coming home.

I took a couple of pictures of her for my daughter in South Africa but looking at her, i can see my Mom has gone already.... her body hasnt realized it yet.

She's not done too bad. Born in 1928, the youngest of 3 children who was born so prematurely that she was not expected to survive. She lay in a wooden box next to the coal fire to keep her warm for the first 3 months of her life (so i was told).

More news. The girls in South Africa are setting up another Baby House. This time for babies with special needs. I have no details as yet but the plans are almost complete. I'm waiting to hear more details from my daughter on Skype.

Onward.... yeah, you get the drift....

    have a great day all.

I have done a bit of a shuffle in my sewing room to get the freezer in, in the process have last a block I was sewing yesterday, cannot find the damn this anywhere. Will carry on making more blocks, by the time I have finished I might have found the missing one.

My plans for Tai Chi went south pretty early on - just as I was about to leave the house (coat and shoes on) I had a gastro attack - just hope Mum hasn't passed me her bug. Anyway, didn't get out!

And now it's pouring down, been like that since about 8'ish and no hope in sight for it stopping. I haven't been at all productive except online, paid next years' council tax and paid the remainder of the holiday booking for July. My monthly saver with M&S matured so that's it all gone out again but at least I'm up to date now.

Triple NCIS to look forward to tonight :j
