Cashback for switching
Options
Supposedly switching is in progress for me (that is what cheapenergyclub says) but I am beyond the 14 days cooling period. I still want to cancel contract with horrendous company, so will have to pay the penalty. Will the promised cashback still be paid???
It would help me towards recovering some of the money lost for cancelling.
Thanks!

If the new supplier has ACTUALLY taken over your supply, then MSE CEC will be paid its referral fee and you will get your cash back from MSE - but possibly not for some weeks as MSE will not pay you until it gets the referral fee from the supplier. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. With the Switch well underway and past the cooling off period, there is no chance of stopping it now.
Your best bet is to allow the process to complete and then start the process to Switch to another supplier, BUT, if you have Switched to a fixed tariff that has penalty fee's,( £30 per Fuel ? ), then you will get charged for moving again
So far as the cash-back is concerned, you have completed the Switch and should be recieve it, but I'm afraid there are reports on this forum of cash-back payments not being paid0 -
Yes dogshome, that is what I am concerned about. I am quite aware I will have to pay the fee for cancelling and as I explained before, the cashback would help cover part of it. I honestly can't remember receiving it other times I have switched. Sometimes we have not been on top of it since it is not immediate but as I said, I don't think we've ever had it paid. It should not be promised if it is not going to happen. All this business with energy suppliers is a sham.0

I ve had three cashbacks, all paid. They come in about three months after a successful switch.Even Quidco paid one and its waiting in my account, also Cheap energy club has paid two. So far I ve not found it a sham as that is fraud, and I m on the look out for another the first opportunity I see one with my BG collective 2 year fix.0
