Swan appliances

Hi,

I have a swan retro under counter fridge. It is 9 months old. I bought it from littlewoods. Paid for it outright.

Recently it's not been working well. I phoned swan and they are not helpful. I was advised someone would make contact in 24 hours - a week later, an app is made for engineer to visit

Engineer visited on 29th Feb. Said the thermostat has gone. He will have to ask swan to order a new one. Ok, I ask how long that may take. His answer was....it's swan, could be weeks! And I have heard nothing since.

I can only find a phone number to contact them on. I would like to email/write a complaint about this. The fridge cost quite a lot of money and it's useless.

Can anyone offer any advice? Thank you.

Have you spoken to Littlewoods? Your consumer rights are through them, not the manufacturer.

As you approached Swan directly they're only responsible for upholding their warranty which may or may not give a timescale on repairs.

You need to chase Littlewoods directly if you want to exercise your consumer rights.
  • Thank you for the replies. I rang the number listed and once connected, it states, welcome to littlewoods swan
I have read many times on here that it's always quicker to go straight to the manufacturer.
I shall contact littlewoods today and update when I have anything further to add.
  • Despite contacting littlewoods, I still have a non working fridge. I have had an email requesting further information which I replied to. I have now finally had a reply pretty much telling me that it will be fixed when they get the part. The part was supposedly ordered on the 1st March. I do feel I have been more then patient but I am literally banging my head on a brick wall with them
What do you recommend I do now?
I just want a working fridge. Thank you
