Yorkshire bank switch

I want to switch from santander evryday current account to Yorkshire bank. what kind of question they ask u wen u call them to switch? do they ask how long u had this card and if its ur main account? etcc... thanks

Is your Yorkshire bank account already open?

If it is then all they will want to know is the account number, sort code and debit card number for your Santander account - I presume you have at least two active direct debits on your Santander account to get any switch incentive? They won't ask anything else in my experience about your Santander account - if its been open for one week or ten years it really doesn't matter to your new bank in terms of switching.

yes my Yorkshire bank already open few days ago i opened yorkshire and santander and i set up 2 tesco direct debt on santander so i can use it for yorkshire .but i was worry i do it now they might ask how long i have santander account.

To be fair, I was a bit concerned I'd get asked the 'how long have you had this account' question when switching, but I've done it now seven times and no bank has asked or cared.

Which is fortunate as all of the accounts that I switched had barely been open for a week :cool:

I agree, They are just happy for your business. I think FD asked but I said I didn't know (I didn't remember) and the guy said nevermind, it was just for marketing purposes.
