  • I'm another one for saying 'go with what makes you happy.' I'm currently in a job I loathe and it's no fun. That bitterness tends to bleed over into other areas of your life until you're unhappy with everything else. But at the same time (like others have said) you need to be realistic.

    Track down a few lecturers from some universities. Ask them questions, see what it was like for them and what they think about your plans. The best people to ask for advice would be the ones who have been there and done that.
